August’s Monthly Monday Walk and TryTheTrain Trip Number 1

Check out our recent photos from our August’s Monthly Monday Walk and TryTheTrain Trip #1. We went from Preston to Wigan, and back together. The Ticket Machine was one of the objects we saw and chatted about whilst at Museum of Wigan Life recently, and it’s a great example of every-day items potentially being a barrier for disabled people, but also items being created like this to make modern life processes faster than in years gone by.

Safe Places in Preston

Here’s a selection of photos of the Safety First team with the help of our volunteers promoting the “Safe Places” initiative around Preston City centre. We visited local businesses old and new to ask if they would support the initiative by displaying a sticker in their window, many agreed proving Community spirit is alive and well in Preston!
