News

New Volunteers
After another successful volunteer campaign, we welcome new additions. All our volunteers were subject to DBS and will be supporting DENW with reception duties, events, friendship Friday and being co-trainers.

New Independent Living Advisors
We welcome two new independent living advisors this month:

Student medics
Sadly, we say goodbye to our UCLAN 3rd-year student medics. There will be no more student medics now till September, further details will come out around then for another meet the medics day at DENW, keep your eyes peeled!

Hate Crime Awareness week
This week exists to encourage the reporting of hate crimes around the UK. It runs over October 8th to October 16th 2023. Join thousands of people in spreading awareness and tackling hate crimes of all types.

NHS and Social Care Coronavirus Life Assurance Scheme
We’ve been asked to make you aware of the NHS and Social Care Coronavirus Life Assurance Scheme which provides financial support to families and dependents of eligible health and social care staff who sadly died from COVID-19 contracted while delivering frontline care during the pandemic.
