Following the successful collaboration by DENW (nw) lottery funded Safety First Team and Lancashire Constabulary’s South Division Hate Crime Team, Preston is now a much safer place for disabled people.
We would like to thank all the local businesses across the PR Postcode (Preston, Chorley and South Ribble) who supported this initiative by displaying a yellow sticker in their window indicating that they are a “Safe Place” and help can be found.
There are now over 150 businesses participating in the, “Safe Places” scheme, 43 of which are in Preston City centre.
