PRESS RELEASE
A Landmark Transition for Disability Equality North West: Moving Forward to Enhance Community Support
Preston, UK – Disability Equality North West (DENW), a leading advocate for individuals with disabilities, announces an exciting development in its plans for 2024. After more than two decades of continued service from its Church Street location in Preston, DENW is set for a change that embodies it’s principle that “Buildings don’t change lives – people do.”
This relocation represents a new chapter for DENW, symbolising growth, expansion, and a deepened commitment to the community it supports. It underscores the organisation’s dedication to enhancing its services and extending its reach to support more individuals in need.
Mel Close, Chief Executive of DENW, shared:
“We are thrilled about our forthcoming move for February 2024, a significant milestone in our journey. However, I have to emphasise that this step is not just about a new space; it’s about expanding our capabilities to serve our community better. It’s a testament to our continued commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for people with disabilities.”
The move signifies more than just a change in address; it’s a move towards greater possibilities. It allows DENW to reinforce its existing programs and introduce new initiatives that will have a substantial impact on the disabled community in Preston.
The community is encouraged to see this move as an opportunity to enhance DENW’s mission. The enhanced capacity promised by this move is set to foster an environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive. DENW remains steadfast in its mission to promote equality and to nurture an inclusive society, where every individual, regardless of disability, has access to opportunities and support.
Further details will be revealed in the new year, however if you would like to pledge your support now for the move, offering donations, decorating skills or other relocation support, please get in touch with us at Disability Equality North West at hello@disability-equality.org.uk
