Here’s just some of things we’ve done in April 2023 – March 2024 with a collection of some lovely photos!
With massive thanks to all our funders…
- The National Lottery Community Fund (TNL) for Safety First Project which includes the weekly Friendship Friday sessions
- Preston City Council fund: advice sessions in particular around debt and benefits, and some of the friendship Friday sessions to support mental health and some of the work we do around digital support
- Supported banking is funded by clients though their social care budgets
- Lils is funded through a consortium with Disability positive contracted by Lancashire County Council
- Hot food and emergency food parcels are Preston City Council and the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund
Our Coronation Party 5th May 2023 was fabulous, great food (thanks #1st4Healthcare for the cakes), party games including pin the crown on the King

Preston Mela June 17th 2023

Preston Pride 23rd Sept 2023 welcomed many people to our stall, including leader of Preston Council, Matthew Brown and we really enjoyed the live acts which were BSL interpreted too

Matt spent the day with @LetsGrowPreston at the Hub in Grange Park for their half term family Halloween event. Lots of families attended and took part in lots of activities

“AGM Day” 7th December 2023 – a time for us to celebrate our members, team and volunteers, as well as thank our partners, support services and friends.

Our online peer support group meetings – We meet online every two months, giving people an opportunity to find out more about the direct payments scheme, to share experiences, to ask for, and to offer advice to others who are considering using direct payments to fund theirs, or loved ones, care and support, by employing personal assistants, using care agencies, or attending day services.
