LOCAL HELP AND SUPPORT SERVICES OVER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD
Here is some handy information about available services to people over the festive period. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list – so you may wish to check directly with the service you wish to access for any queries regarding opening hours or availability of those services.
Preston City Council (PCC)
Services at Town Hall (and contact centre) will close at 12 noon on December 24th and will reopen at 9am on Friday January 2nd 2026.

Preston City Council’s Housing Advice Team
PCC will operate a 24/7 service throughout the Christmas and New Year period for homeless emergencies only. All other queries can be emailed to housing@preston.gov.uk and will be responded to in the New Year.
